The MaMVO Board has approved the new Contribution Fees structure for 2022. Contribution Fees are applicable to the holders of any authorisation to place on the Maltese market a medicinal product for human use bearing the safety features as per Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/161.

The fees include initiatives directed at regular contributors, holders of small numbers of authorisations to market medicinal products in Malta, authorisation holders registered as SMEs with the EMA, and authorisation holders marketing orphan drugs or medicines for rare diseases.

These initiatives reflect MaMVO’s continued commitment to its role in the detection of counterfeits and safeguarding patient safety, whilst remaining sensitive to the challenges of ensuring continued medicines accessibility in small member states.
